Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Welcome to My Job Mentor (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website at www.myjobmentor.com.au (the “Site”), and all business interactions with My Job Mentor, including but not limited to email communications, career advice, and consulting services (“Services”). By accessing our Site, engaging with us in any form, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of the Terms, please refrain from using our Site or Services.

Scope of Services

My Job Mentor provides career coaching, resume writing, mentoring and consulting services to support your professional development. By engaging our Services, you acknowledge that all interactions, including advice, consultations, and written communications, are governed by these Terms.

Use of the Site and Services

By accessing the Site or engaging with our Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms. You agree to use the Site and Services only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not infringe on the rights of, restrict, or inhibit others from using and enjoying our Site or Services.

Intellectual Property

All content, layout, design, data, databases, and graphics on the Site, in our email communications, or provided as part of our Services, including text, logos, and images, are protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of our Site or materials provided through our Services without prior written consent from My Job Mentor.

Disclaimer of Professional Advice

All information provided through My Job Mentor, whether via the Site, email, phone, Zoom, Teams or in person, is intended as general guidance based on our professional expertise. This information should not be considered as specific legal, financial, or psychological advice. Always consult the appropriate professionals for decisions impacting your career, finances, or well-being.

Purchasing and Using Services

When purchasing Services, you agree to provide accurate, complete information for billing and payment. Fees for Services are non-refundable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

We reserve the right to modify pricing or availability of Services without prior notice; however, confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate.

Where a Client Service Agreement has been provided, it forms part of these Terms and should be read together with them. To the extent of any inconsistency, the Client Service Agreement will prevail in relation to the specific services purchased.

Refund & Session Validity Policy

Because my services involve preparation time and reserved availability, sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Session packages are valid for 3 months from purchase unless otherwise specified in your Client Service Agreement. If a service cannot be delivered as agreed, remedies are available under Australian Consumer Law.

Unused Sessions & Pay-It-Forward Program

Unused sessions from multi-session packages are non-refundable once partially used.  If you secure a role before using all package inclusions, you may:

  • Gift sessions to someone you know who would benefit
  • Hold them for future use within 6 months
  • Donate them to the My Job Mentor Pay It Forward Fund, which supports people experiencing financial hardship.  I match every donated service value.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, My Job Mentor and its affiliates, directors, employees, partners, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our Site, Services, or advice received. This includes, without limitation, any errors or omissions in content, loss of data, or any other losses resulting from engagement with My Job Mentor.

Confidentiality and Privacy

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of all personal information. While we take every reasonable precaution to protect your data, you acknowledge that data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure. For more information, please see our [Privacy Policy]

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless My Job Mentor and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Site, Services, or any breach of these Terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our Site or Services at our discretion, without notice, for any conduct we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to us or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Site or Services will immediately cease. Provisions intended to survive termination, including intellectual property rights, limitations of liability, and indemnity, will remain in effect.

To access certain features of the Site or Services, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your password, and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account or breach of security. My Job Mentor is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised access to your account.
